Here
Dr. Hirsch from the London hospital drives into the village in his MG
in 1981, and by 2002 little has changed except the woodland is denser.
Crickadarn,
Wales off the A470 was the movie location for the fictional village
of East Proctor, Yorkshire. It was filmed in Wales rather than Yorkshire
due to distance from London and for the scenery. |

The
Slaughtered Lamb is in fact a private house and always has been, in
this very small village of only five houses and two churches.
The Angel of Death statue was a prop by the movie makers, and we are
sure the house was dressed down to give a more eerie look, along with
the "Slaughtered Lamb" sign. |

David
and Jack's first walk into the village, back in 1981 there was an extra
wall and an outbuilding, not much else changed.
This
road is the main route into the village from the A470 to Builth Wells,
and the first road you would see if you visited the location. |

David
& Jack exit the pub after a hostile welcome from the locals and head
for the moors. The bench outside the pub was borrowed from the adjoining
church.
The house that doubled as the "Slaughtered Lamb" remains as
it was then. The garage door is still the original but is now painted
blue along with the rest of the house. |

The
Doctor enters the church yard to talk a concerned villager about the
possibility of David changing into a Werewolf at the next full moon.
The
Crates of beer in the background of the movie shot were props for the
film. The gate and wall remains as it was 21 years ago, along with the
church service sign to the right out of shot. |
